You Need a Self-esteem Injection

Girlfriend, it’s time to get with the game and stop giving yourself a hard time. Maybe you’ve had a rough time at home lately? Perhaps you’re being bullied at school? Maybe you’re not as gorgeous as Reese Witherspoon (so who is?). Whatever it is that’s getting you down about yourself, it’s time to give your self-esteem a kick and get on with living life. You have so much to offer the world (even if your talents are as yet undiscovered) and you have every right to be happy, confident and cool. Be proactive. Join a sporting club, do a yoga class or even try doing some volunteer work - you’ll discover there is always someone worse off than you. Practise affirming yourself with positive messages like, “I’m perfect just as I am” and you’ll see that in next to no time you’ll feel better, and when you do other people will pick up on your positive vibes and respond more positively to you. Beating yourself up is a complete waste of time and energy. Turn that negative self-talk into feel-good thinking.

You’re OK with yourself

You’re pretty comfortable with who you are. You’re good in a crowd and while you don’t necessarily crave the limelight, you’re confident about your friendships. No one would accuse you of being up yourself. At the same time you could do with a little more oomph when it comes to putting yourself forward. Take advantage of the situation next time you’re in a position to shine. When you look in the mirror you like what you see. You know you’re not Miss World, but with a lick of lippie and a smile on your dial you know you can light up a room. Having balance means you’re able to cope with life’s peaks and troughs but sometimes its good to take a risk and maybe even fail - trust that your self-esteem can take whatever blows life hands out. Keep up the good work.

You’re super-confident

You’re self-esteem is practically off the register. You’re so confident you positively ooze charm. You’re in the fantastic position of feeling terrific about yourself. You know life can be tough at times, but it’s not going to knock you down. Super powered self-esteem is a gift. It’s really important though to realise that not everyone is endowed with the same high-voltage glamour and sex appeal as you and remember to be compassionate with your girlfriends who don’t feel as fab about themselves as you do. When you check yourself out in the mirror you see perfection looking back at you, which is great. But also remember beauty is only skin-deep and it’s what you’ve got on the inside that really counts.
